A modern-day story of fortune-seeking in the world of West Texas oil rigs

A landman, at least one who works in the oil industry, will act as a middleman between exploration companies and landowners. Typically, a landman’s job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. Essentially, they manage the land and secure the leases so that they can drill for oil and gas.
They’re well-written and funny
Similar to a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, worker housing (a human camp), oversee the assembly of excavation machinery, and the drilling of the well site itself, especially in remote locations. They are also part of the fixer, problem solver, and facilitator.. Featured on CBS News Sunday Morning: Episode #44.24 (2022). I’m obviously a fan of Taylor Sheridan’s shows.
That’s extremely gratuitous
At this point, I’d happily watch anything with his brand. But what’s with the girl in her underwear and her creepy sexualization? That’s extremely weird how uncomfortable she is with it. It’s almost so much that you don’t want to watch.
It’s really a headache
I AM invested in the story so far. I also don’t understand why the woman is so uncomfortable. The ex-wife is just ugggh. Is the show just aimed at drawing men?
He’s always a plus
And I love Billy Bob.
