Call Mickey Haller

Scenario

Need a lawyer? He runs his law firm out of his Lincoln and is ready to hit the gas. Having moved to Los Angeles, he takes cases while balancing a personal life that includes being a father and having two ex-wives. Originally inked with CBS for a series commitment in 2020, it was canceled right before filming the first episode due to COVID. . This has now been picked up by Netflix for a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book “The Brass Verdict”.

Mickey Haller has several cars, all with personalized California license plates with legal terms on them. The personalized California plates allow a maximum of seven letters/numbers, but all Mickey plates have at least eight. The Lincoln LawyerNetflix adapted a novel called The Brass Verdict into a TV show. The cast includes Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Becki Newton from How I Met Your Mother, Neve Campbell from the Scream series, Christopher Gorham, Angus Sampson from the Insidious series, Jazz Raycole and Lana Parrilla from Once Upon a Time In 2006, Michael Connelly published his first novel of six books, based on Mickey Haller. In 2011, Connelly’s first book, The Lincoln Lawyer, was adapted into a film. Years later, in 2022, Netflix released a TV show, called The Lincoln Lawyer.

Rulfo is charming and likable as Haller

This is based on the second book in the series, known as The Brass Verdict. After the mysterious death of another lawyer, Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia Rulfo) inherits all of his unfinished cases. In addition to having to learn about his cases, he begins to investigate the sudden death of his colleague, while trying to mend his relationships in his personal life. It’s not hard to see why The Lincoln Lawyer is so popular on Netflix. All the storylines and likable characters make the show intriguing to watch. He makes both the audience and the court laugh with his jokes.

She is a great supporting character

Having previously had substance abuse issues, he feels compassion for other people in similar situations, which is what leads him to hire Izzy Letts (Jazz Raycole) as his driver. They care and hold each other accountable to ensure they both stay on the right path. Gorham does a good job playing Trevor Elliott, a billionaire who plays the victim of his wife’s murder. Newton plays a positive and caring Lorna Crane, she is Haller’s secretary and friend. Also, for all the people assisting Haller, he hires a private investigator named Cisco. Sampson works well together with the team to ensure Haller’s success.

The multiple storylines create interest in the show

In most episodes there is a smaller case that Haller has to win, but there is also a major case that he has to solve along with other plot points. My verdict for The Lincoln Lawyer is that if you like legal dramas, you will like this show.
