Denis Leary and Ray Romano starred in the Ice Age series (2002-present)
Scenario
It follows three very different families who compete to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they believe will solve all their problems. I was surprised to see such a low rating for the series, but it made more sense after seeing many reviews explaining why they didn’t make it past the first episode.
I really love the cast and everyone’s performances
The series is a mystery, slow-burn entertainment that may not appeal to everyone. Personally, I found it too funny and entertaining, with a Liz Feldman-esque tone that I like.
I was already pretty invested in the story by the last episode, despite figuring out the main twist very early on
I was initially hesitant about Ray Romano due to my own biases (for the life of me, I couldn’t separate him from Everyone Loves Raymond), but that quickly wore off. All the different characters have their own side stories that create a tangled web of chaos that gradually, if not completely, unravels.
I’m not mad about it though
I’d like to see more of this show and I really hope they get a second season. One Hundred Years of Solitude is one of the biggest TV and streaming releases this month.
