A chemistry teacher diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer begins manufacturing and selling methamphetamine with a former student to secure his family’s future. Celebrate the fan-favorite series Breaking Bad by rewatching some of its most memorable scenes. During the hiatus caused by the writers’ strike, creator Vince Gilligan decided to bring the character back and leave Jesse’s fate to another character in the season 1 finale. He was impressed by Aaron Paul’s portrayal of Jesse and the fact that everyone liked Paul. In the opening credits, the letters of the cast and crew’s names are highlighted in green to represent symbols for chemical elements. However, the “Ch” in Michael Slovis’ name appeared prominently in several early episodes, even though Ch is not a symbol for a chemical element.

In subsequent episodes, only the “C” (for carbon) is highlighted. Walter White: Who are you talking to? Do you know how much I make per year? I mean, even if I told you, you wouldn’t believe it. Do you know what would happen if I suddenly decided to stop working? A company big enough to be listed on the NASDAQ goes bankrupt.

The opening credits use chemical symbols from the periodic table of elements in the names: bromine (Br) and barium (Ba) for the title, none for creator Vince Gilligan (except when he gets a V for vanadium), one for the cast and crew. In some territories, all episodes were re-aired on an on-demand cable channel, commercial-free but with additional scenes not included on AMC. I know people say this about tons of different shows, but Breaking Bad is truly universally considered one of the best shows of all time. All you have to do is Google “best television shows of all time” and I guarantee you it’s at the top of every list you find, and there’s a reason for that… Each season is as brilliant as the last, which as everyone knows is nearly impossible for a show, but Breaking Bad does it perfectly! If you’re one of the few people who haven’t seen this incredible show, do yourself a favor and watch it immediately… you won’t be disappointed!
