An Iranian-American trans man travels back in time to the LGBTQ+ archive to understand his sexuality. He meets his past and present on an erotic journey of self-discovery. The film’s depiction of identity, gender, and the understanding of one component of the queer community is powerful and very moving. as the interviewees discuss the insecurities and challenges of being new and different in an established community. The insights provided into the risks facing this community seemed eye-opening, but not in the traditional sense. I felt like the stories in this movie just showed me how to focus on issues that were hidden from view. I highly recommend this movie. By getting to know the people around us, we learn more about ourselves. I was definitely educated through this particular movie.
