Scenario

On an island of haves and have-nots, teenager John B enlists his three best friends to search for a legendary treasure connected to his father’s disappearance. Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline and their “OBX” co-stars quiz each other for the best lines from their popular Netflix series. Filmed on location in Charleston, South Carolina; it was originally slated to shoot in Wilmington, North Carolina.

I never stopped

Like you, I holed up watching Netflix and Prime. I watched all sorts of things. This had just come out on Netflix and I started watching it.

It’s a fun and entertaining show

The cast is exceptional…every actor is spot on. The story moves at a gripping pace until the end, but looking back, each episode could stand on its own…on its own. It’s a remarkable achievement and kudos to the writers.

It’s hard to categorize the genre

It’s rated 18+, but there’s no nudity or violence. I see no reason why a 13-year-old couldn’t watch it. It’s funny, has lots of mini-adventures, lots of misadventures, romance, shipwrecks, storms, fire, gunfire, beer kegs, prison, boys saving girls, girls saving boys, parents are devils, parents are angels, treasure maps…
