Scenario
The spirits of a deceased couple are haunted by an insufferable family that has moved into their home and hires a malevolent spirit to drive them out.. This is Michael Keaton’s favorite movie.. Otho’s shoes when he spray paints the walls in the house are changes from red fire elf-like shoes to white sneakers as he walks through the bathroom, then they change back to red elf shoes when he enters the next room.. Adam : What are your qualifications? Beetlejuice: Ah. Well…
I travel a lot
I graduated from Harvard Business School. I survived the black plague and had a pretty good time during that time. I’VE WATCHED THE EXORCIST ABOUT ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY SEVEN TIMES AND IT CONTINUES TO GET FUNNIER EACH TIME I WATCH IT… NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT YOU’RE TALKING TO A DEAD MAN… NOW WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT? Do you think I’m qualified?
A print of the film has surfaced with some added/alternate scenes
The Geffen Company logo is accompanied by an eerie version of the song Banana Boat (sung by the film’s composer Danny Elfman). This version of the movie is about 2 minutes shorter than the theatrical release, has a few extra scenes and some others are missing, is in black and white, and has a timecode at the bottom. This version has 4 main differences: Alternate Scene: The scene where Adam tries to leave the house after he and his wife die is different. Instead of a desert, he sees an empty darkness full of rolling cogs. Additional Scenes: There is an added scene where Lydia shows the pictures she took of Adam and Barbra. Then, after her mother yells at her and accuses her of putting holes in her sheets, Lydia runs upstairs and tries to convince her father that the photos are real.
Mounted in Terror Toons (2002)
There’s more in the scene where the adults search the attic for ghosts, where we see the desert monster trying to eat Adam and Barbra while they’re hanging from the attic window. Finally there is an extra 2 minute scene at the end where we see Lydia cycling home from school and her parents talking to Jane on the phone telling her they don’t want to sell the house. Lydia’s dancing scene is shorter in this version and there is no scene with Beetlejuice in the waiting room. The film ends with a final exterior shot of the house. It’s a Halloween classic
Attaway & Irving Burgie (as Lord Burgess)] Performed by Harry Belafonte Courtesy of RCA Records. One of my favorite movies of all time. Spooky, fun and very re-watchable. I am waiting for that moment when I will forget this movie again and be able to watch it again. Beetlejuice is a creativity booster, an inspiring, artistically speaking, movie. The sets, the wardrobe, the props – everything inspired me as a kid and made me love those dark romantic themes of Tim Burton.
