Bug Juice: Ah
Scenario
The spirits of a deceased couple are haunted by an insufferable family that has moved into their home, and they hire a malevolent spirit to exorcise them. This is Michael Keaton’s favorite movie. Otho’s When they spray paint the walls in the house, they change from fire engine red elf-looking shoes to white sneakers as he walks through the bathroom, then back to red elf shoes as he enters the next room. Adam : What is your education? Well… I went to Juilliard…
I travel quite a lot
I graduated from Harvard Business School. I lived through the Black Death and had a great time doing it. I’ve seen the exorcist about ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY SEVEN TIMES AND EACH TIME I SEE IT GET FUNNIER… NOT TO MENTION THAT YOU’RE TALKING TO A DEAD NUMBER… WHAT ARE YOU THINKING ABOUT? Do you think I am qualified?
The making of the film has surfaced with some added/alternative scenes
The Geffen Company logo is accompanied by a haunting version of the Banana Boat song (sung by the film’s composer, Danny Elfman). This version of the film is about 2 minutes shorter than the theatrical release, has some extra scenes and some others are missing, is black and white, and has a timecode at the bottom. This version has 4 main differences: Alternate Scene: The scene when Adam tried to leave the house after he and his wife died is different. Instead of a desert, he sees an empty darkness filled with spinning gears. Extra Scenes: There is another scene where Lydia develops the pictures she took of Adam and Barbra. Then, after her mother yells at her and blames her for cutting holes in her sheets, Lydia runs upstairs and tries to convince her father that the pictures are real.
Cut to Terror Toons (2002)
There’s a lot more to the scene where the adults are searching the attic for ghosts when we see the desert monster try to eat Adam and Barbra as they hang from the attic window. Finally, there is an extra 2 minute scene at the end where we see Lydia riding her bike home from school and her parents talking to Jane on the phone telling her they don’t want to sell the house. Lydia’s dancing scene is shorter in this version, and there is no scene with Beetlejuice in the waiting room. The film ends with a final exterior shot of the house. Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice is a great movie
Attaway & Irving Burgie (as Lord Burgess)] Performed by Harry Belafonte, courtesy of RCA Records. The director was given free reign to create his own film visually, and that’s great. The casting is good, but the standout is Michael Keaton. Keaton is absolutely hilarious in the title role. This movie is very funny and well done.
